The following terms and conditions apply to NACCHO’s Stories from the Field Website

Stories uploaded on to this website are collected from NACCHO’s members. The views expressed in these stories are those of our members and unless specifically stated are not those of NACCHO. NACCHO does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website and are excluded from liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Terms of use

  • Text and any other type of content submitted to the site will be subject to moderation before it is published on the website.
  • Moderators reserve the right to remove any offensive or inappropriate language and correct any grammatical or spelling errors.
  • NACCHO is under no obligation to publish any text, audio, photos or videos submitted to the Stories from the Field.
  • NACCHO may reject material on the grounds of copyright infringement, offensiveness or other legal considerations. 

By contributing a story to us you are agreeing that:

The story and all accompanying images, audio and/or video, is either your own original work or a story that you have the right to make available to NACCHO for all the purposes specified in the copyright statement.

  • The story and all accompanying images, audio and/or video, is not defamatory.
  • The story and all accompanying images, audio and/or video, does not infringe the law in any way.

Photo and video permissions

In order to upload photographic, audio or video material you must either be the copyright owner of the material or have gained permission from the copyright owner to do so. The copyright owner is the person who took the photograph or filmed the video footage.

The copyright owner must have a parent or caregiver’s consent for children currently under the age of 18 to appear in photos or video footage and for those to then be uploaded to the Story Bank.

Photo and video terms and conditions

  • NACCHO is under no obligation to publish any photos or video clips submitted to the website.
  • Images submitted to the site may be cropped, resized or digitally enhanced to fit the format of the website.
  • NACCHO may reject material on the grounds of copyright infringement, offensiveness or other legal considerations.
  • The contributor owns the copyright to their own photographs and videos but in uploading their story to the website they also grant NACCHO a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute and exercise copyright with respect to any such work worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content.

The text, graphics, artwork, audio, video, images and the compilation of information contained in this website are protected by copyright.

The contributor owns the copyright to their own stories, audio, photographs, and videos but in uploading their story to the website they also grant NACCHO a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute and exercise copyright with respect to any such work worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content.

The material on this website may be used for non-commercial research, and instructional or educational purposes.
